“The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry. ”
— Ernest Hemingway in A Farewell to Arms
I should write of Hemingway, I recommend him highly for A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Old Man and the Sea… all brilliant books.

And wasn’t he simply DASHING!?
Every time I think of Hemmingway, I think of a log cabin. I don’t know if it is due to The Evil Dead film, or just the impression I get from him.
Happy birthday to him though Udita.
Evil Dead? That one I haven’t heard of…
It’s a film, and at one point a bloke has his hand cut off. He puts it under a bucket and then puts A Farewell To Arms on top of the bucket 😀 It’s a comedy horror
My God! Sounds hilariously creepy :-O
