Teaser Tuesday (January 14)

My teaser:

“Why don’t you want to take my name? he asked in a voice so genuinely hurt she almost changed her mind on the spot.
Sachs is just the name I grew up with, the one I’m used to. I’ve worked hard to build a careerand Sachs is the name I’ve used along the way. Is that so hard to understand?

From 38% (Simon & Schuster 2013) of Revenge Wears Prada.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. Men don’t understand how hard it is when women change their names after marriage. Even if you don’t have a career to be mindful of, it’s still a HUGE hassle. Your name is everywhere, and everything has to change. I respect women who don’t do so, for whatever reason.

    Nice teaser! 🙂

  2. I changed my name only because I didn’t particularly like my maiden name though it’s very common (that’s probably why though, ha ha ha, I just had to be different!)
