My teaser:
“Why don’t you want to take my name? he asked in a voice so genuinely hurt she almost changed her mind on the spot.
Sachs is just the name I grew up with, the one I’m used to. I’ve worked hard to build a careerand Sachs is the name I’ve used along the way. Is that so hard to understand?“From 38% (Simon & Schuster 2013) of Revenge Wears Prada.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Enjoy!
Men don’t understand how hard it is when women change their names after marriage. Even if you don’t have a career to be mindful of, it’s still a HUGE hassle. Your name is everywhere, and everything has to change. I respect women who don’t do so, for whatever reason.
Nice teaser! 🙂
Our names are our own. No one has the right to think otherwise!
Here is my teaser
Sounds great. And it looks that their is going to be as much drama in this book than their was in The Devil wears Prada.
Thanks for stopping by earlier!
I did change my name when I got married and it was a huge pain in the butt. I completely understand why she wouldn’t want to. This sounds like a great series!

Interesting dialogue. I’m curious about how her decision to keep her name will affect their relationship or if he’ll get over it.
My Teaser is from THINGS WE SET ON FIRE.
I changed my name only because I didn’t particularly like my maiden name though it’s very common (that’s probably why though, ha ha ha, I just had to be different!)
Hmm interesting teaser. I feel like she should definitely stick to her name. Thanks for sharing and stopping by Bookmunchies (:
Sounds good, I hope you’re enjoying it! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
