My Musing:
This is a repeat post for my new followers
Last night, as I was trying hard to fall asleep, my mind drifted off to thinking about movies that have been made out of books… and my trail of thought landed on all the ones that I’d not read or seen. So, nor have I read these books, I haven’t even seen the movies. Yet.1. The Chronicles of Narnia
2. Twilight
3. The English Patient
4. The Bourne Series
5. The Godfather
6. Wuthering Heights
7. It’s a Wonderful Life
8. Emma
I have no intention of reading 2. From the rest, I have to get through the books first, so the movies have to wait. Having said that, I’m not a massive movie person. Here are some of the movies that are based on books that I have enjoyed. In all cases, I’ve read the books first
1. Harry Potter series
2. The Lord of the Rings
3. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
5. Rebecca
6. A Beautiful Mind
7. Breakfast at Tiffany’s
8. The Devil Wears Prada
9. Bridget Jones’ Diary
10. A Clockwork Orange
11. The Kite Runner
12. To Kill a Mockingbird
13. The Other Boleyn Girl
14. Memoirs of a Geisha
15. Lolita
17. The Wizard of Oz
Musing Mondays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
Describe one of your reading habits.
Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!
Very cool! I love that you’ve read all of the books BEFORE seeing the movies…I haven’t always done that, but I try. I’m with ya’ on Twilight…won’t read it.
Thank you. I try to keep it that way, sometimes it’s hard though.. like holding off from watching a movie. I watched LoTR 5 yrs after the movies finished, just ’cause I hadn’t read the books!
I’d like to read the Oz series sometime, I know they’re quite different than the movie.
Yes, they’re a good read!
I don’t think that I want to read Twilight either. It just doesn’t sound like my cup of tea which is weird considering I used to love watching Buffy and Angel and quite like vampire stuff normally.
